Greg Korvne serves as data manager/statistician in the Evaluation Unit. In this role, Greg manages the evaluation of social services training courses.
On a daily basis, Greg processes evaluations submitted by training providers and provides technical assistance to state sponsors and other agencies.
Greg also conducts ad hoc research studies and prepares quarterly reports on project activities.
Greg was instrumental in the development of an automated training evaluation system for the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS)
and the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) that was launched in 2006. He designed forms and developed procedures for data collection.
The system evaluates over 5,000 trainings annually, through which 60,000 child welfare workers, foster/adoptive parents, mandated reporters,
and other social services employees attend state-sponsored training courses each year.
Greg received a master’s degree in public policy from the University at Albany.
